Yahoo’s take makes more sense when you are in a group conversation as multiple persons can like a photo or a message. Instead of relying on stickers or emoji, Yahoo is betting on GIFs.

Perhaps they wanted to experience the sensation of being wanted, a sensation many used to a life of lonely desperation never quite experienced.
